Not every great dessert spot announces itself loudly. Frui is one of those lovely exceptions, a newly opened gelato shop quietly tucked between the buildings of Lubuk Baja.
It runs a rotating flavor lineup that keeps each visit interesting, sitting alongside a thoughtful selection of artisan pastries and beverages that round out the menu nicely.

An Intimate, Snug Escape
The Hidden Gelato Spot Tucked Away in Lubuk Baja
The space at Frui is intentionally intimate, featuring limited seating that creates a cozy, close-knit atmosphere. Because of its boutique size, the shop can feel a bit snug during peak hours, but the clean design and calm energy make the experience well worth the stop.
It is a wonderful little hideaway to slow down and enjoy a beautifully crafted dessert.

Refreshing or Hearty Sips
Because seating is limited and flavors rotate regularly, arriving during the afternoon is an excellent way to secure a spot and enjoy the day's freshest selections.
Best For: A quiet afternoon date, intimate dessert run, gelato and little bites.
The Gelato Lineup
Single Gelati (70.5% Dark Chocolate): A rich flavor and yet not overly sweet, leaving a strong, lingering chocolate finish. Adding the optional mochi skin is highly recommended, it is thin, stretchy, and perfectly light.
Double Gelati (Black Sesame + Corn and Cheese): A pairing of contrasts. The Black Sesame is dense, roasty, and has a sharp aftertaste that purists will love. On the other side, the Corn and Cheese leans sweeter with a milky, creamy finish and actual corn kernels for texture.
Freshly Baked Small Bites
Madeleine Earl Grey: Soft and spongy on the inside with a lightly crisp exterior, carrying a buttery profile and a mild, well-balanced hint of earl grey tea.
Canele: Perfectly baked to be crisp and caramelized on the outside with a slight bitter char, opening up to a soft, almost pancake-like interior.
For a Cozy Escape in Lubuk Baja
Watermelon Elderflower Ade: A lightly sparkling, minty beverage with a floral finish and a subtle, clean watermelon note.
Hojicha Latte: Nutty and roasty without being too sweet, featuring a lighter, authentic texture.
